- 5-time National Champion in Cross Triathlon
- Three-time competitor at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships
- Amateur victory at Double Hawaii – the combined IRONMAN Hawaii and Xterra Hawaii World Championships
When he shifted his focus to the trails, Janez quickly established himself among the strongest in the field. His results include:
